Chicago or New York Pizza?

It was late and we were hungry. Thank you smart phone for finding a pizza place that is opened till 5 am.

Alberto's Chicago Pizza
They are infamous for their 1/4 of a pizza slice pizza!- That is definitely a hearty slice.

Located in Dupont Circle
This pizza place was actually located downstairs- looks like a basement and very sketchy
The dining area was definitely not very clean or comfortable, and there is no seating.

Compared to the first "jumbo" pizza that I went to, this place had a lot more variety at a cheaper price
There was pesto chicken, Hawaiian, sausage, pepperoni, cheese, vegetarian, etc
The service was actually very nice and fast.

Cameron and I shared a Pesto Chicken Pizza- $5.50
This is a thin-crust pizza with a nicely toasted and crispy crust.
I liked how the pizza was not oily, however, the texture was quite flat- not very cheesy or saucy. Also, the taste was not bad, but not as pesto as I would have liked it. There was a fair amount of chicken and I was very satisfied.

Angel devoured his own Pepperoni and Sausage Pizza

The decor was quite interesting- I was surrounded by interesting/colorful cartoons and caricatures of political figures.

New York Style Pizza
Right next door to Alberto's was another pizza joint. Although we were all quite full from our large pizza slices, we thought it would be interesting to see which place serves the better pizza.

The restaurant itself is definitely more suitable for large parties because there are plenty of chairs and tables

The concept was the same- 1/4 of a pizza slice!
The price is about $0.25-0.50 cheaper than the Chicago slice next door

A very generous portion- $5.00

1 slice divided by 3
Since I was too full to try this pizza, my friends said this pizza was definitely not as delicious. Cameron said the crust was way too thin and the taste was more bland

Overall: Chicago pizza wins.
